A powerful explosion hit a military base south of Baghdad

At least three members of the pro-Iran Popular Mobilization Unit were injured after “five explosions” in the army Base of Hasth al-Shabi (“Popular Mobilization Units”, pro-Iranian paramilitary forces now integrated into the Iraqi army) south of Baghdad, said a member of the security team.

Al Arabiya Network reported that the site was the target of a missile attack.

CNN reported that the explosions occurred at an ammunition depot.

An Israeli official told CNN that Israel had nothing to do with the explosions in Iraq on Friday night.
