President Trump’s candidate for the leadership of the Space Agency said on Wednesday that NASA will give priority to sending American astronauts to Mars.
This led to thorny exchanges between the candidate – Jared Ishaqan, CEO of payment processing payment company, a close partner for Eileon Musk, the founder of Spacex – Republican and Democrats of the Senate Committee for Trade, Science and Transport. They asked about the future of the International Space Station as well as Artemis, NASA’s current effort to send astronauts to the moon.
“I don’t think we need to conduct any difficult trade here,” said Mr. Isaacman. “I think we can have these efforts and do nearly impossible.”
Mr. Isaacman shared the session on Wednesday with Olivia is reliableCandidate to be a member of the Federal Communications Committee. During his testimony, Mr. Isaacman avoided direct answers to a number of questions while he repeatedly says that the space agency could send astronauts to MOON and MARS within its current budget of $ 25 billion.
Mr. Ishaq said: “People were built to do the impossible almost.”
Ted Cruz, the Republic of Texas, who heads the committee, gave Mr. Isaac a lecture on the partisan law that dictates NASA’s priorities, and read the part that stipulates that Mars will be the destination after the moon. Johnson Space Center, which runs most Faceflight programs in NASA, is located in Mr. Cruz.
“When the legislation uses the word, it indicates a mandatory commitment,” said Mr. Cruz to Mr. Isaac.
