Avi Eserner SSSB '08: Johann Gutenberg invented the first printing press in the 1430s, and it was basically an inked sheet that would be pressed against a cloth to produce an image. Why change a good thing? Why does YU need computers to rewrite history?

Eli Friedman SSSB '09: The library has printers? The only time I've ever been in the library was to visit "friends" of mine. Maybe with this new system I'll have the privlege of tutoring a confused "friend" how to print.

Ed Abramovitz YC '10: I really like the idea of being able to use your allotted pages for photocopies as well now, but the rest of the system stinks. It's ridiculous to have to log in twice on two separate computers nowhere near each other every time you want to print.

Max Saltzman, YC '09: I hate the new library printing system! I tried printing something the other day, and due to a series of complications and confusions, by the time I had finally finished printing my homework, I had been away from my computer for so long I had been logged off due to inactivity and lost other homework I hadn't saved yet! If YU is interested in throwing away time and money, I'm open for donations of either.

Dylan Says:

It's no secret that YU loves to waste money on unnecessary items. Earlier we had the flat screens, and now we have the new printing system. The old system was fine, and by switching without informing the students YU has merely complicated matters and confused members of the student body.
