Virtually the entire faculty and administration of Sy Syms School of Business agree that many of its students are unable to properly express themselves in written form. The problem has been widespread for some time, yet the administration has taken no identifiable actions to rectify the situation.
Students, professors, deans and alumni gathered at the Marriot Marquis Hotel on April 20th to take part in the annual Sy Syms School of Business Awards Dinner. The dinner, typically organized and conducted by Sy Syms students, was arranged this year by Ari Spodek, SSSB '05, who also acted as MC. The dinner is the business school's yearly opportunity to recognize members of the graduating class, present awards to the valedictorians and other top students, formally announce the professors of the year, and honor outstanding alumni.
