As a result of the increasing number of incidents on college campuses throughout the nation in recent years, Yeshiva has launched the AlertFind system. In the event of an emergency, AlertFind notifies participants of the emergency situation via text messages, emails and voice messages. The system was launched last spring, and has undergone tests over the past months to ensure its efficiency.

Despite widespread advertisement encouraging members of the Yeshiva community to sign up for the free system, the University reported that registration has been surprisingly low. New plans, including the possibility of making registration for AlertFind part of orientation, are currently in the works to help increase the number of those signed up for the system.
